OEM Versus AftermarketOEM stands for Original Equipment
Manufacture. Strictly speaking, OEM refers to the manufacture of any device that
is designed and built to be distributed under the label of another company, i.e.
Motorola etc. You know when you see an item labeled for instance, "OEM Motorola
Car Charger," that it is an original item built for Motorola. These items will
generally carry a higher price tag.
