This
phone is really excellent in my opinion. I just got in about 2 weeks
ago and yes it came with some software issues but after flashing it
and customizing it, it is exactly the way I want it. I have no
complaints about it. The camera is excellent for a phone camera and
the Transflash ability is off the hook. Then there's the fact that I
can connect it to my computer and download anything I want into it
without having to pay for it. I have T-mobile and although they do
not offer this phone yet, with some modding I have been able to get
it working flawlessly. I paid $200 for it and it was worth every
single penny. Coming from Nokia I thought it would be very different
but I have adjusted to it and I couldn't see myself without this
phone. It is stylish and the front display is not as clear as the
inside but it is far better than any other phone I've seen out
there. So bottom line, if you are thinking about buying this phone
do some research and become acquainted with flashing (Howardforums.com),
so if it comes with buggy software you can take care of the problem.
Its my little computer in the shape of a phone as far as I'm
concerned.
have had this phone for a few days now (replaced my
v300 that fell
into a pan of lacquer thinner) and it is awesome. I have had NO
programming problems and it performs flawlessly! picture quality is
incredible and takes great videos. It says that the limit for video
length is 15 sec, untrue!! i got mine to take 1 min. and 45 sec.
videos just buy going into the video setup window and changing the
"video length" from mms (restricted to 15 sec so it will be small
enough of a file to fit in a text message) to "maximum". this phone
blows me away!
Pros:
*transflash! with a 512 MB card it can hold over 650 pictures,
around 690 mins. of mp3s, or over 100 mins. of video!!!!!
*very user friendly
*2 ways to listen to mp3s (mp3 player app. or in the "sounds" file)
*killer looks
*great batt. life
*tons of features
*the golf game and pic. editor are fun
*easy to transfer music to it
*simple to make rig tones from mp3s from parts of a song (can select
where it starts, how long it goes, fade options, from a 1 sec blip
of a song to the entire song) with Motorola's phone tools
*i could go on forever but now i just want to play with it!!!
Cons:
*cant think of any besides not offered by any U.S. carriers so you
have to buy it from e-bay or something like that (although the e-bay
sellers include tons of extras. i got a car charger, transflash card
w/ sd adapter, leather case, Motorola's phone tools cd and USB cord,
headphones, European to U.S. wall plug adapter, and something else
that i can't remember for $250 shipped!! and with no contract!!)
