Released for Verizon Wireless, the LG VX4650 is the cousin to the
VX4700. Lacking push-to-talk, the VX4650 features complete voice
command and driving modes, for a truly hands-free and safe way to
operate the mobile phone while driving. The VX4650's color screen,
speakerphone and enhanced messaging services rounds out a comprehensive
package of the practical features that users demand for their mobile
lifestyles.
User Review:
This is about the VX4650. It’s on
Verizon.
Not the prettiest phone but it is primarily a very good communications
device. Does everything it should and more. I wanted a phone, not a
camera. Did not want the PTT. Those things annoy me when I hear somebody
walkieing and talkieing. Also wanted tri-mode for traveling in more out
of the way areas. I won’t use the web, text messaging or Get it Now
features. I’ve had this phone for a while now, so this isn’t a review of
a new phone that the person has had for a WHOLE day.
Pros:
Great reception
Solid build
Speakerphone clear, not “fuzzy/distorted”
Good battery life, 4 days if only standby, 3 days with light use
Nice inner display – only inside or out of the daylight
Very user friendly menus
Voice commands no training required
Cons:
Buttons on the sides of the phone are a bit too easy to activate. I said
to myself that I would be careful but I still hit em.
Inner display poor in sunlight
Gets warm after about a 15 min. call
Pro or Con: depending on your hands/fingers
